Every year Catherine House conducts a variety of fundraising events which provide people with many entertaining opportunities to support women who are homeless.

Catherine House Cocktail Party – March 2009

The Catherine House Cocktail Party took place on Saturday 14th March and was generously hosted by Sylvia and Anthony Toop in their outstanding house on Kensington Road.

Over 170 people attended the event and contributed to a fun and enjoyable evening which raised over $43,000 for the Vocational Education and Employment Program.

Special thanks go to all the members of the organising committee chaired by Kathryn House who worked hard to ensure that 100% of the money raised at the event went directly to the work of Catherine House, to help “educate women out of homelessness”. Every item for the event food, wine, soft drinks, music, venue, and food and drink service was donated – a fantastic feat and testament to the committee’s keenness and dedication to having a cost free event. and also to Sylvia and Anthony Toop who not only shared their house for the evening but also supported the event in many other ways.
