Volunteers are part of the essential fabric of Catherine House bringing not only their skill and talent but more importantly their dedication, commitment and good humour.

Currently we have a wonderful band of over 55 volunteers (including long-term volunteers since 1988) who commit a few hours of their time each week/fortnight, to help deliver a variety of much needed services to support the women who come to us. The financial ‘in-kind’ contribution to our work would be in the vicinity of almost $100,000 each year, which gives another picture of this amazing generosity!

We are always looking to expand our Volunteer team:

Areas of work include:

• Maintenance
• Housekeeping support – cleaning and meal preparation and serving
• Office administration
• Fundraising and Event Management
• Tutors who have experience/expertise in a particular area of learning/education
• Tutor assistants who are prepared to do a variety of tasks as required in Sagarmatha
