Volunteers are an essential part of the fabric of Catherine House. They bring not only their individual skill and talent to our work but also, importantly, their dedication, commitment and good humour.
Currently we have a wonderful band of over 70 volunteers (including long-term volunteers since 1988) who commit a few hours of their time each week, fortnight or month, to help deliver a variety of much-needed services. In recent years, our tutors have been a developing volunteer group at Sagarmatha. They have been an active part of the keen success of the program. These tutors have brought a wide variety of professional skill and expertise that is very much appreciated.
We are always looking to expand our volunteer team:
Areas of work include:

Housekeeping support – cleaning and meal preparation and serving

Fundraising and event management

Tutors who have experience/expertise in a particular area of learning/education

Tutor assistants who are prepared to do a variety of tasks as required in Sagarmatha
